O Problema!
As vezes é necessário criar uma cópia de uma Máquina Virtual, para fins de backup, ou simplesmente para que seja possível ter uma nova máquina sem que seja necessário instalar uma nova máquina virtual, do zero. Uma solução muito importante e fácil é fazer uma cópia simples (Ctrl+V / Ctrl+V) da máquina e determinar a criação de uma nova máquina no Virtual Box, esta a partir de um disco já existe. O problema é que, ao simplesmente copiar uma máquina virtual e replicá-la no mesmo ambiente, como a máquina cópia carrega consigo o UUID da máquina original, o Virtual Box vai apresentar uma mensagem de erro como a da Figura 01, impossibilitando a ação.
A solução!
Mas não vamos nos preocupar agora, pois continua não sendo necessário criar uma máquina virtual do zero, tão pouco utilizar o “gerador de Clones” do VirtualBox, que é muito lento. Vamos gerar um novo UUID para nova Máquina Virtual. Para isso, utilizaremos o seguinte comando:
VBoxManage internalcommands sethduuid "NovaVM.(VHD/VDI/VMDX)"Se tudo deu certo, você recebeu uma mensagem similar a esta, o que indica que a UUID da nova VM foi trocada.
UUID changed to: add58c3a-05ed-4e8f-ab3e-5b3046fcaa1a
Se isso aconteceu, basta criar a sua nova VM e continuar a degustar do poder das VMs.
